The majority of makes only have one importer per country and it's up to them who they sell to and also if they are trying to make more profit than is sensible then dealers won't buy them as their cut would be smaller Wink

Good God no! Fisher is one of the originals but like all makes it depends which model you decide on and unfortunately like all the big names you do pay a lot for that name Wink

The F75 or new F19 are really the ones to get but remember that you may only do a bit of beach detecting you won't be doing any on wet sand with a Fisher as they really aren't made for that, £500 puts you in that mid range bracket but if you were to buy second hand then you'll get a top flight machine for that Wink

I had a Fisher f4 which I gave to my grandson when I got the Deus. When we were out together we checked every signal that I had on the Deus against the Fisher. I would say that in 90% of signals we could both get them in some way. I was surprised on a number of occasions just how good his Fisher signals were by comparison.

Have a look at unearthed UK, they are taking orders for a new Teknetics T2 for £435. It's A great price for a new machine.
