I have had tis silver item some time now, and I sure it's a brooch, it's 18mm x 14mm and you can see where the pin would have been, any idea of date would be apprieciated. Thanks

as its an artists pallete and 3 brushes send a pic to an art academy they might have an idea of a date .....long shot but without a hallmark its a chance

Bet the silly blighters put the hall mark on the pin.  Could be any age really but I'd go for Arts & Crafts era abt. 1920-40

Things like artists pallets weren't a popular subject much before that.
