Went out for a couple of hours today and got an Irish halfpenny possibly William and Mary, a piece of silver off a walking stick marked Ben Cox London, Lizzy threepence 1577 and an early Scottish penny that's folded so hard to get an I'd. I'll get someone to post pics next week.

I just put a thin blade between the folded hammered, no pressure at all just trying to get the soil out and it snapped like a carrot aargh ! Angry Angry

I can do one of my glue jobs on it if it's flat if you like, barely see the join.

I've cleaned it up a bit today but it's in poor condition. I can see the stars on it and I think a voided long cross so I think it's an Alexander iii penny. I'll bring it to the next club dig and you can have a look then.
