I found this today, I have been advised that it is Cromwell but can anyone provide more info please, including denomination Huh

Its a halfgroat as db4 said if you look above the two shields on the reverse you will see II meaning twopence/halfgroat.
Its also pierced like many coins from this era Wink

Thanks guys for the comments and for the info, i'm really pleased with it Cheesy

It seems to have toned a lot since i dug it, I have put museum wax on it so i'm guessing it won't go black?

I prefer a well toned coin to a newly minted look personally but equally I want to avoid an ebony disc Shocked
