Found this yesterday on a field i haven't had access to until the grass was cut,  a very quiet field,  a few unidentifiable copper coins, nothing but background chatter and slight mineralisation,  but this thing was found about 8"down , about 2m from a gate

Religious token of some sort,  anyone know what this is,  or who the person is

My Welsh is not the best I know the complete words here but can anyone fill in the gaps on the missing letters and translate please, hopefully the pics let you see what's written

Thanks

Nice find it's a Thomas Charles of Bala Medal to mark the anniversary of Welsh Sunday Schools in 1885 Wink

The English version reads

"Search the scriptures
for in them ye think
ye have eternal
life and these
are they which
testify of me.
Jesus Christ"
