Couple of finds I'd like to identify please.

First is some sort of boss - in fact the first thing that sprang to mind when I found it was 'shield boss.' But there are no holes to attach it to anything, it's probably not big enough and it's only about 1/16" thick in brass/bronze. It was found earlier in the year around the site of a demolished hall which was re-built in 1913, I think. Maybe it's an architectural feature?

The second item was found yesterday on a different farm - again it's brass or bronze and since the farm, and in particular this field, has hosted horse shows my best guess is some sort of equine accoutrement. Not into horses in any significant way so again it's a mystery to me.

TIA for any IDs
