First and foremost.  Great write up again Neil.  I went with the idea that at the very least it would be nice weather,  nice people and if I found anything of note it would be a bonus.  Once again I got it right  Grin
It was so nice meeting up with a few familiar faces but disappointing that I also missed a few.  Congrats to all who found goodies (I'm not jealous  Angry )  at least I know what a hammie looks like, just in case  Roll Eyes
 
Handyman (Alan)  Looking at the pics of your 'coin weight'  I'm sure I can detect a small extrusion on each side, or is it my new specs !!
Also looking at the engraving reminded me of something I read about early ring seals.  There was a period when swivel bezel rings were popular.  Yours could fit the bill and it's about the right size.  What's your thoughts ?

You are right on the money .... a swivel seal .... it's made Mrs H's day .. it's her first ever seal.

Great id Val and it looks like a bird/Giffon was a popular depiction on them but as I cant see any arms I'm sticking with phoenix lol
