MAD COWS EAT METAL DETECTORISTS !!!🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂

« on: August 29, 2015, 04:57:16 PM »

Hi to you all,
This little oddity has been soaking in olive oil for over a month now!!
It was found on farm land with my trustee Nokta FORS CoRe at a deapth of about 10 inches.
I feel sure that it is/was a coin at some time, however,it dosen't appear to be made of copper!!
Question(1)..Are there any coins made from any other metals, apart from the obvious gold and silver.
Question(2)Any one got any ideas?
The pictured coin is a bit thicker than the normal early Georgian stuff!!
Thanks for looking.👍

Looking at the "reddish" colour of it I would say it was a William III and that size would make it a farthing Wink
