« on: August 11, 2015, 06:28:59 PM »

Hi all, again this is a find of my detecting mate,he says that it's been identified as a middle ages portable sun dial!!
Well I'm not sure!as I thought it was perhaps a gaming piece!!
All I can say is its made of lead, and old lead at that.
I welcome all your comments please, and THANKYOU for looking.👍

It could be a crude sundial. There a couple a bit similar on PAS.

On the other hand, could well be a lead washer that someone has scratched a pattern on.

I think the sections are a bit of a give-away.  There's only 9 and I can't see how they could be interpreted as time segments.

As Peter said there are a couple similar on  PAS but they are more detailed.
