MAD COWS EAT METAL DETECTORISTS !!!🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂

« on: July 17, 2015, 06:26:29 PM »

Well after waiting a couple a days for the weather to clear up and my mate Andy now finished building his wall we set off to go onto a new field for me to try out my Nokta FORS CoRe.
When we got to the new field, disappointed or what, the field was still uncut!!
So after a few disgruntled expletives, and bearing in mind that we were only going to be out for a couple of hours,it was decided that we would have no other option than go onto a piece of very well detected land!!
this piece of land has been detected with an ACE 250, a EuroAce,a SAFARI an AT-PRO,and even an E-TRAC,so I wasn't expecting much at all.
So not knowing this machine I put it into "factory set" mode, and within a few swings I had my first coin!!and within an hour I had collected another coin and the the other bits as photographs show.
I was feeling very pleased with my self,Andy, was getting some great results, including a Roman broach, and also a couple of coins, all was going well until, well I was digging a signal, plug taken out,pin-pointer!!, AH! Pin-pointer, where's me" FLIPPIN"!!! ******* pin-pointer !!,retrace my steps, then retrace the retraced steps,dispair!!.......SHOUT.....ANDY!!.he comes across from the other side of the field,I explain,he says"where did I have it last"?I replied"can't remember " he looks at me in total astonishment.
We went our separate missions, looking for a little black pin-pointer in notso short grass, having not a clue where in the hell it could be!!
After an hour and a half Andy found it,you know,he just nonchalantly gave it over to me,but the look on his face,he didn't a word, the looksaid it all.
I have now got it tethered to me,lesson learned,I ain't gonna do that one again!!
As for the NOKTA,well its a really great detector, very comfortable, easy to use, very, very light, for me....just perfect.any dislikes? only one,the coil covers are made too brittle and much too thin, come on NOKTA why spoil a great detector.

I know a number of us get some brightly coloured insulation tape to wrap round the pinpointers - certainly made it a lot easier to find when I've lost it!
