Went to the thistle pasture field today, on arrival the cows were in the top field a long way of. I was only in there 3/4 of an hour and the farmer came in ready to cut the field he was only there for 5 minutes and the topper machine packed up, it started making a horrendous noise he stopped to take a look and then started to walk over to me only to ask if he can borrow my spade to pries some metal work of the blades which was successful and my spade remained in one piece Lol . Any way after an hour or so the field was minus the pesky thistles and the grass topped which meant the cows could not sneak up on me!!! and more to the point detecting conditions were perfect for pasture any way hear are the results for the time spent in the field, I would be interested in a date for the stunning little buckle its in super condition as you can see and made of bronze. I have an idea of age but would like any comments.....spikey

Hey buddy, great, great finds, fantastic details on the buckle, mind you,the coin is still a great find.as for date of coin, sorry,no idea.
But I would hazard a guess on the buckle at around the13th/14th century, don't know,just a hunch!!👍

Oh that's a bit special Paul what fantastic condition well done, I don't think you'll get a better date than Dingdong's I think it must be the first buckle that I personally can't find in Whitehead's Huh
But PAS has one here...
