Well I went away for a week and managed 2 evenings of 3 hrs each on the beach with the detector and I really enjoyed it and will do it again.  I did however pull more melted aluminium out of the sand than I care to admit ( curse the person that made it), but I was very happy with what I managed to come away with.

Thanks guys, The half crown was a real surprise, and as ive never found a foreign coin before the florin was even bigger.  Needles to say I will be making a few trips to that part of the beach in the future  Grin you never know maybe there's a gold one around waiting for me lol now that would be pushing my luck  Cheesy

Well I'll take what I can get, at this point I would have classed an Irish coin as Foreign lol, ok ok lets just say its the only coin I have had that is from across water lol, that or I just take the comment back and we pretend it was never said  Grin
