Rick Deckard here,
from the Glamorgan area
25, full time student, part time worker.
Bought a golden mask 1 after taking a borrowed Viking down the beach.

Starting detectoring to get some fresh hair, find a bit of history, have an excuse to pour over some old maps.

Been beach detectoring,  now it's time to meet the owners of some of these recently harvested fields!

Good luck Rick

Good luck - there's some good land in the Vale, but it can be 'interesting' trying to get permission

Out of curiosity, what would you mean by 'interesting'?

I don't seem to have much luck at getting land - although I've had a farmer drive at me with his tractor and another threaten to set his dogs on me. I've currently signed up to give a talk to a group of farmers in the hope that they might give me a chance.....

,keep on knocking and trying maybe offer the farmer some free labouring for an hour or two in return for permission some are glad of a hand now and again, but dont let him take advantage. good luck.

Well amazingly since my first comment (some months ago), I have managed to find a willing farmer (well Mike did the talking to start with Smiley ) - turns out that I was perhaps unlucky in my choice of farmer to ask......
