Graham Oxlade,  (Archaeologist) Phoned me today,  Pontypridd Museum who will be hosting my Metal Detecting Finds exhibition  throughout July had told him about the exhibition.  He does walks and talks  for groups of people along / through roman areas and paths,
He wants me to go out with them one weekend in July with my Metal Detector, with  a group of school children to show them how it works, and how it can find coins,  he's going to plant some replicas for them to find,,  so i'll take another detector with me i think,

it will be on a Roman Marching Camp  and then on a common,  he'll also be showing them Roman Mosaic and how it was all put together,
It'll be a good experience me finks,  and good for us to be working together in harmony,
 Alan.

Well done Al,it can only do good for our hobby.

After you've been out with them I can see some of those schoolkids begging their parents to buy them a metal detector.lol

Digga brought one of his "Many Grin" children on one of our digs,Bryn Aged 6,& you should`ve seen his little face & heard his screams "Uncle Mick, uncle Mick Look, look what i found" as he ran towards me as fast as his little legs would carry him, with a 1900`s penny he`d just unearthed ! It was an absolute delight & i`m sure he`ll be following in his Fathers footsteps.
It`s got to be good for our Great hobbie`s FUTURE !!  Grin

heyyy well done Digger,  i bet you enjoyed the experience hey,    your right too,  some do soak up the information, my 5 year old grandson is like that too,  you can talk to him and explain things and he takes it all on board, i bought him a nice didgital camera for his birthday, he loves it and can go into the controls and delete the bad ones ect ect,.  and he gets on here when he's here lol

yeah it can only do good for our p.r. mate and for future detectorist mate,
Santa will be getting early lists this year me finks,  lol
 cheers both
