Found this button yesterday...nothing left on the front , but the back shows a crown at the top and 'WILLIAM IV' at the bottom.

When I google 'William IV button' I see that button back chairs were all the rage in his day...would my button be from a button back chair, or would it have a more illustrious past? Or would the crown and William IV on the back be a bit like a 'By Appointment To' royal warrant for the button maker?

Apologies if I have too much imagination!
