I found this fibula a couple of weeks ago, I'm sure Geoff or someone could say what type and age it is, (it's 50mm long )

Lovely condition Geoff, what's with all the complete brooches lately? It's a mid to late 1st century Dolphin brooch you haven't shown a pic of the front so I can't see the design but going by the 3 holes in the catch plate I'd say it was a Hattatt 356 Wink

Ahhh! now that changes things a bit....it's a Colchester type so could push it back to pre conquest times (from around 30 AD) and is a Hattatt 250 Wink
