Ummmm Huh Not a clue what that it.....but......everything about it as far as corrosion colour and texture as well as the remains of what looks like enamel is shouting out "I'm Iron Age" but unfortunately it's not shouting out what it is Undecided, the loop at the rear is coming off at the wrong direction for it to be a typical looped fastener and while Roman statues do show  buttons it's thought that they were wood or bone as none are ever found, there are a couple of "buttons" on the PAS site from the Roman period which are marked as unknown but are about the same size as yours but plain, so I would probably date it to the late 1st/early 2nd century based on the decoration but as to what it is that's one for the FLO I think Wink
