Posted this today on Pembs Prospectors forum, these bits can be bought online or at your local ex army surplus shop.
I have been looking at harness's for our detectors and not fancying paying out 110 quid for a branded item decided to look around the internet for possible alternatives, this is what I found http://www.premiersurplus.co.uk/more/on/details/00142 . There are various ex military yokes available of which I have purchased one similar to the above from the ARMY SURPLUS STORE IN  THE RIVERSIDE COVERED MARKET, HAVERFORDWEST but you will also need two extra straps to connect the shoulder pads to the belt where a little bit of creativity is required, nothing beyond our members abilities, then hook the bungee that you got from Homebase on and away you go. Costs, I paid less than a tenner for the yoke, two extra straps and clips (which I didnīt use) but will need some sort of buckle for the creative bit and a couple of D rings might come in handy. Call it a tenner, thatīs better than a hundred and ten.
