There's a British dealer going to be importing Nexus machines very soon.

As for older reviews there has been some radical changes to the designs recently so it would be well worth taking any opportunity to try the new models out.

I wouldn't give a hoot who made it if it went deeper, was stable, and allowed me to find more.

I was going to buy a Lamborghini out of my pension pot but a nexus would be more appropriate ( champagne tastes and lemonade pockets )  Grin Grin Grin

Well tried a Bonanza on the beach and was not to impressed but its a cheap detector and only running a single frequency at a time so not suprised.

As for the Nexus being the only detector to find Gary's hoard that test referred to ALL METAL MODE. If you limit detectors to all metal you may as well use a P.I. and I had non motion machines over twenty years ago which would hit the that size/depth target with no trouble.

Just watched that video & can't quite see what they are trying to prove. The ground mineralisation (rocks) are not moving in relation to the coil & therefore the coil nulls them out, they may as well test in fresh air, I'd like to see the same test with the rocks and coins passed over the coil which is what they should be doing to show correct results as that would emulate reasonable working conditions.

Well on Sunday I let several owners run their detectors ranging from Nokta to Nexus, T2/F75 to Whites V3i /TDI along my 20 years plus test bed (same copper coin type buried at increasing depths from five to twelve inches) and there was no wonder break through. At some (fairly shallow) point a good pure copper target indicated as iron or just dropped out and couldn't be heard.

Hi Brian.  Have you tried the Safari.  Many of us detecting in All Metal with it (or I did) . Being a multi frequency machine it still picks up everything else in All Metal.
Last time I saw you, you were trying out that Polish thing, can't remember the name, it was that good  Roll Eyes

Yes I have but still am not a great fan of multifrequency whether Minelab, Fisher or Whites. The Whites V3 and V3i do have the big plus of triple or self select a single frequency which I prefer but Whites still haven't got on top of the coil problems and I find I have to do a master reset every two months or so thus needing programmes to be reloaded and things like icons re deleted which is a real pain.

Though I have tested many Polish detectors (Rutus,Armand etc) I have never taken any of the nine of them to any rally just because its to easy to give a false bad or good impression of how well they work. Same applies to detectors from the Ukraine, Czech Republic, Russia, Bulgaria etc. Thinking about it I've only been to one rally in the last five years !

Hi,

I use Nexus for some years
Coronado old and new MKII   (dual 6 & 9 for the two )
of good machine deep enough, especially in compacted land
meadow, forest ..... the last MP, seems to be better in tillage (not tried)

got some gold coins isolated with mine, if you compare at the large coil Deus / MKII Dual 9pouces
they will play equal / all metals / own land / forest
on a nice gold coin or 18k alliance from 5 g to 40 cm deep

the big difference is the sound  !!
clear sound on the Nexus, while passing 30 cm Deus gives his rotten on gold ....
and even before...  (being its only defect)

- On the beach, they pass correctly, but the high voltage PI will ever deeper

for the test of the treasure with Gary, the Nexus was a Dual Coil 12-inch
it is not available in the catalog and that's a shame
the 20-inch seems impractical and its exorbitant price
