Hey Dry land, that pair of candlesticks may have a bit of history, did you find them close together?, were they found in an old (very)established garden?
And at what depth were they found, the reason I ask is because it was common custom to hide "alter ornaments" during the reformation "Henry 8th"Puritans" and".Roman Catholics",that sort of thing, just a thought mate is there any or were there any churches nearby, as I say,I dont know much about it,just an idea, are there any hallmarks?
Keep me posted on any developments please.

By the look of the surroundings it could well be something that I was talking about.
If that were on my my patch I would give it a really good going over,I feel that you could have some nice things underfoot yet to be found, please let me in on any further progress you make, really interesting ,lucky you.
PS....good luck!!👍
