Can anyone please help me with the question which I was recently asked.
When was the transition from the musket ball to the type of bullet as picture shows,many thanks for looking.

Lol thanks Mike but I had left the army before those newfangled bullet things came in Grin
I'm not totally convinced it is a bullet to be honest so couldn't tell you what age it is but it does seem to have a flat base which could mean it's a Sharps and if so then a sporting rifle 1870's though if you mean when did the British army change from round ball to conical bullet the first being the Minié ball it was 1855 Wink
