As Val said, it looks like the bowl of a spoon, possibly a rat tail spoon. Looking at the split down the centre of the bowl it looks like
it was where the handle of the spoon was attached.

Here's a typical rattail design.  Easy to see how, if the handle came detached, yours would be split almost on two.
