Out for a couple of hours today, found 2 x two shillings, 2 x George V pennies, Vicky Half Penny, an old 50p, then this little beauty popped out.
A lovely seal, my first complete seal  Smiley Smiley
Any idea's on age etc would be much appreciated  Wink

Oh that's a bit special a tamper seal not 100% but I think they are generally dated to the 16th-17th century and pretty rare Wink

When it first came out, my first thought was a pipe tamper, until i seen the initials on the bottom, so came to the conclusion it was a run of the mill seal  Roll Eyes.

Lovely item and agree most likely early 17thC.

Real beauty - we all love unearthing a decent pipe tamper or a seal - congratulations you have both!

This is the best tamper I have uncovered to date after it had been waxed.
