Mike, the V3.2 has a special program for Wet Sand.  I've tried it and thought it needed tweeking as per their suggestions. I've re-set some of the settings and saved them as a new program. Was going to try them this afternoon but went for a field instead.
Wish now I'd gone to the beach  Roll Eyes

With nothing better to read I did a bit of browsing last night and came across this blog.  I thought it would interest any Deus owners that do beaches.
If it up loads O.K. go to the Beach section on the right hand side.  Most of the early posts he was using a Garrett 250 and something else.  About half way down he gets himself a Deus.  Eat your hearts out fellas. I wish I could find that much with the Safari never mind the Deus.
And most surprising is he uses some of the programs for land.  Enjoy.

That is a cracking haul Val, no doubt , as he says the sand had gone and by the looks of most of his finds they have come from top of the dry sand area, and the Deus would cope well winkling the goodies as he has. But even with the wet sand program it will struggle especially if the search head touches the sand. That said who wouldn't be happy with finding a beach in that condition after storms, stick to the big gun  Minelabs for deep wet sand hunts but you know that Wink Wink Wink

I'm pretty sure I do know that Paul but I've seen a few Vids of Guys using the Deus on the beach and they seem to be coping quite well.
I've got to try it , haven't I.   By the way, have you seen the tide forecast for the end of next week.
