Ha Ha you just can't beat finding them very old ring pulls. Cheesy

I wasn't sure how much beach there'd be but loaded up and went anyway.  I parked up, got out of the car, walked over to the top of the bank, looked, cringed, sighed,   and got back in the car and went home. Roll Eyes

Working on the principle that a hobby is s'posed to be pleasant I thought, no, not today. The wind was blowing strait up the beach and boy was it cold. Plus there was only a strip of beach and I think everybody and their aunty was taking the air.

As a regular beach detectorist, I always try to start my detecting just after dawn and during the week if I can. Normally no drunks at that time and very few dog walkers. It can be rather cold just after dawn and a couple of weeks ago there was frost forming on my coil as I progressed across an interesting area.

Not many ring pulls on my regular beach but loads of other scrap. Keep at it; you will get plenty of exercise, fresh air, and eventually some interesting finds. Which detector are you using?

Myself and my mate was there a couple weeks ago, just in front of no 4/5 a small area showing stones, we had quite a few pre decimals and other signals I take it you couldn't see them now probably covered up with sand? Still, nice big tides end of week so I guess all the beaches will have there fair share of searchers on Cheesy Wink
