 Grin Grin Grin well in that case he's bought himself a Jorvic penny you could strike them yourself at the Jorvik centre in York circa 1990 and is not silver only pewter...worth about a fiver, Sihtric is the only king who had a sword coinage as fa as I know Wink

Oh - I was going to suggest it might be a Jorvik coin - I've got a couple myself that I struck  - I think you paid a couple of quid to have a go. Mine's in Pewter......

Well I have found a Geo V penny in my allotment. The only thing is I think it might have fallen out of my pocket about a year earlier - it was on the surface under the raspberries.

Always thought about giving the allotment a detect, but you know what councils can be like Smiley
