Xp Deus will not give asignal on a modern 5p&10p 1pOKon everything else is it normal for the machine

if my ctx goes over them coins on surface it will just reject them, but it will pick them out so far down  Undecided, baffled myself buddy  Huh

they have an iron/steel core then platted , that's why your machine rejects them , unless you run in all metal of course  Wink

i have a goldmaxx power which picks up these coins yet i dont find any iron?i guess the plating must overide the core.

Im pretty sure the older ones are cupro-nickel so the machines will pick them up and the newer type as Mike said has the steel core Wink

Yes they've only had a steel core since 2012 with 1p and 2p since 1992 Wink

The new ones rust like anything. Mind you I still don't think anyone will be collecting them as they are miserable specimens of coinage - look at how cheap and uncollectable all that French aluminium coinage from just after the war is......
