Notification code

Hi all.I am new to this site so may I apologise in advance if this has been posted before as I could not find it in the help section.I have been trying to post a message to a member and I cannot do so because the notification code will not show up just a small blue square.Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance.

i snail im not 100%sure but i think you have to make 5 posts before your allowed certain priveledges .you could always try the shout box

quite correct jcb all new members have to reply to 5 posts before they can send pm,s to fellow members and then only 4 pm,s per hour which is the same for all us mere mortals

Hi Snail, yes 5 posts is the rule but you have already done one so only 4 to go.  Try an introduction, we don't bite, and then 3 to go. Answer someone else's post, just say 'Well done'.  Shout box may work if you can see your mates name in the list top right.  Just hope he sees it.
