Picture this your on top of a hill, 20 acres, commanding views for miles and miles in each direction your close to a Hill fort Roll Eyes there's a track running along side, in the valleys ancient villages, on the next hill an earthwork with Saxon burials ::)in the field next to mine another earthwork probably Neolithic or later, its stubble, short, and rotting down well the sun is shinning and bang a lovely signal its deep Huh you dig, second dig a hint of Gold in the soil Shocked Shocked could it be, is it Huh Huh Huh Nah its alloy but just for a moment it was a piece of bronze age gold Wink Wink The other picture is todays finds on a different field dodging the rain but not the cold Grin so I say I deserve it. A couple of beat up brooches and a few grots.

Yes Paul and I could have been born a Man  Shocked    and that wouldn't have been so bad now would it .

Well done on getting out. At least you had some finds.
