P.A.S. has now recorded its millionth metal detecting find and where would showing finds made in 19th century,.Copper, brass, lead ,silver and gold wouldbe without this hobby I have enjoyed over nearly 40yrs..The museums would be still showing 19th century finds and artefacts would  continue to be damaged by the plough, fertilizer and sheep pee...Most of the finds are rescued from the plough soil and would not be found at all if not for the hard work of detectorists..There would be no treasure rooms in our biggest museums that this hobby has filled with a host of fabulous finds,.The unknown coins and objects found by many diligent detectorists have filled the chapters of history..I now feel safer in the knowledge that general public are not swayed by the small Anti detector mob and support us in general..A big pat on the back to you all ..you deserve it Rob Grin

Nice to see so many items recorded, it makes the hobby look more responsible. Well done to all that have recorded their finds with the P. A. S.
