Ok after a quick discussion with the farmers wife this evening, we have an invite back to Hawkesbury Upton.

Last year saw a cracking variety of finds including, button, buckles, seal matrix, Roman fibula a smattering of hammered coins and...Oh yeah 2 gold coins  Shocked

There will be a mixture of stubble and pasture and again the farmer and his family will be joining us to see what goodies come up. Please show them your finds as they have no interest in taking them off you - they are just a really friendly family with a great interest in whats in their ground.

I know last year many detectorists gave the farmer's kids a collection of buttons and buckles, pre decimal coinage, they were so pleased.

This will be a DetectingWales.com members only rally and I'm afraid everyone attending must be over 16 years of age. Usual terms and conditions apply. Everyone who attends does so at their own risk and we recommended that everyone has civil liability insurance. If you are a member of a club you will probably already have this. Please check.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

The location of the rally will be sent by private message to everyone who has signed up the day before the rally and the rally fee is £7.00 as normal.

Sorry, I'm a newbie to rallies...are dogs allowed?

I have a 1 year old border collie that I  work on a local farm on sheep, cattle, and goats...she is well manured and I can hold her off other peoples stock.

She tends to go off looking for mice nests to dig up whilst I'm detecting...
