I’ve just spent a frantic half hour looking for all the copper pre-decimal UK pennies that I’d ever found … searching for the ‘vulgar’ one.

               I suspect that it is not just the positioning of the trident but also the body posture that earned the penny it's title. Maybe, even the look on her face?  Shocked
