Wrexham Heritage Society's club dig on Sunday returned my 1st cut half, From the research I have done it seems to be a penny of King John *note the 4 pellets in a cross shape on the reverse* that is how i managed to ID it

nice find, i have never found a cut half or quarter, even though i have found bits of hammered coins about the same size, so its not my machine settings must be the sites i am detecting on.
