Its amazing how quick you can get something done when
told you cant go out detecting untill fireplace built.
here are a few pics of my almost finnished tudor style
fireplace. Just need log burner flue and a plumber.
not been out for almost a month, so tuesday come
come hell or highwater i will be out with the Deus all day
photobucket playing up put pics on later

We built one when we lived in Shropshire but built ours with re-claimed Tudor bricks and a huge piece of ships oak timber on the top.  Nearly drove John crackers. Being an Engineer he insists on everything being perfect to the micro mm.  He just wouldn't accept that the 'wobbles' gave it character.
