I had been detecting for a while on Saturday and set the alarm for early Sunday morning - 6.30 am the alarm goes off and I say to the wife " I think I will sleep in a bit" my wife says "get up - or you will regret it!" and turfs me out of bed so she can lie in a bit.

I am so glad she did - in a 2 hour hunt I found 2 hammered coins and 2 romans - one of the hammered coins must count as one of my best finds to date its a Richard III in lovely condition - I will post the Saturdays detecting later.

if anyone can offer any further information on the hammered coins I would be grateful thanks.

cheers

Really enjoyed the video and well done on those great finds.
Glad I'm not the only one to dig a deep hole only to find the target at the side near the top! Wink

Thanks for the positive comments - its not easy holding the camera in one hand, digging, finding and coming up with a quick id but I enjoy doing it. I am well pleased with the hammered coins and will try to get out there again before the corn comes up too much.
