Afternoon all!

Finally did it, bought myself a euroace and can't wait to get out there and get it beeping! Only trouble is I have not done much research into sites as of yet! Can anyone help me out? Know any pleasant farmers? I appreciate people don't want to give their secrets away but any help would be appreciated! I live in Carmarthen but am willing to travel if anyone knows of any sites worth a visit for a beginner!

Thank You!

Can't help on the farmer front but you have your self a nice machine and you are sure to make plenty of good finds.

I have had a EuroAce for a couple of years now and here are a couple of odds and ends I recently pulled from an old sports ground. The EuroAce works well on dry sand but you will find that you will need reduce the sensitivity when you move onto the wet stuff.

Hi Scott. You have great land all around buddy. Had permission on Tawalen farm a few years ago. Hard going but finds range from pre decimal to post medieval.
Also out in Nantgaredig is a good chance of permission, good Iron Age and tourist area. One other place is Capel Dewi country house, never searched the area but worked in the area and the owners seemed approachable .
Look for road names in your area, like castel mynydd, mill lane etc. they will give you a handle of the history before your searches.
It's great to travel to other areas to search, but we all think the grass is greener elsewhere. Stick at it and you will be amazed what's on your doorstep.
Happy hunting buddy, you got a reliable detector learning its squeak is the job lol.

Good site for you to do research on. Archwillio Wales. Gives you a wide range of history, and to areas to avoid due to being scheduled or listed.
