It looks more like a Cameo portrait than anything else. This opens the door to who it might be.  Any ones Husband, Son, you name it.
They were very popular with the well to do, especially through the 1700's.  Very nice find Sam.

Thanks a lot persistence pays off. I'm going to press it in clay tomorrow, to see the raised print head it leaves
