Nice finds there Alan,i found a nice 1976 silver buckle ring whist detecting on one of my farms a couple of months ago which my wife now wears,think i will be a bit more discrete with the finds in future with her,lol,well done Al. Cheesy

 lol, i wish my daughters would like some of mine to wear Stig,   iv'e found about 60,  i know my eldest daughter likes the celtic lap rings, iv'e found 2 nice gold ones,  not interested though, doh.

well done al been down porthcawl many times around by the harbour wall is the best spot down there always seem to make enough for a few pints it s the same under penarth pier once you winkle out the fishing weights good luck willow tree

 HI willow tree, i did think about Penarth Pier when i first started out, but never got there to try it, too many people around to put me off i think lol, was a bit consiouse then
i know some one who tried it when detectors first come out though, he had loads, a lot were fused together lol.

Had 3 good nights that week mate,  another £24 and a silver ring, and another £16 and a small gold ring,
what part of cardiff are you from, i lived and grew up there,

hey Chris,  nice to hear from you.  yeah i know where you are,  i went down by the river a few times myself a few years ago,  i went mainly through the woods, and when the edge when it was burned off in springtime,., ,  i found quite a bit there.
in fact that woman that was murderd there a few years ago came down for a chat with her friend,  she was dead in the night, ohhhh spooky i tell you, started fretting a bit,  lol  glad they got him for it,
Do you know though Sterios from way back, ?  they were pretty well known on the other side of Ely.

 i myself was born in Grangetown and brought up in North Llanishen

hi al i know gary and david sterio really well used to see them up the culverhouse pub i remember that murder too found a nice medal by there belonging to ely brewery and a few victorian coins good to hear from you cheers chris

the ely brewery medal must have been a nice one Chris, hmmmm,  yeah i had lots of predec silver from there and a couple of rings, plus loads of the old coppers,

hi al do you just detect on porthcawl beach have you tried sully island found a nice tail fin of a mortar on there but it s hard going loads of bits of metal there when i see any of the sterios i will send then your regards ...chris
