Nice one Will you had a good day there, your site is suffering the same "Somerset Disease" that many of us have to puzzle over ie Roman fibula's from the first century and coins from the 3rd and 4th with few, if any, early coins and no late brooches and very little in between??? The Silver item has a definite medieval look about it....intriguing Wink

very true - I have around 3 early coins in total compared to countless later ones and am yet to find a brooch in good condition although I have found a couple of nice disk brooches on another site.

We only find brooches because they were lost and this is usually because they broke in one way or another Undecided your lucky to get disc brooches as they're not that common around here Wink

Really enjoyed your video Will, even when I could only see your light on the old Deus Smiley nice selection of finds, the silver artefact is interesting and looks to be medieval as Geoff suggested, you did mention part of a purse bar although because it being silver you was not sure Huh for what it's worth it could be mate, Dale mentioned a spoon terminal could well be, do us a favour mate Wink find the rest of it and keep the videos coming, say woof to midnight Wink
