I knew that would get people looking Smiley

Well it is Gold and it is made up of six rings, but i am not sure of its age, i think they call them puzzle rings, four inches down in pasture, so probably modern.

I think i will have it melted down and made into a decent ring for the wife, she's happy i am happy Wink

I have seen Victorian ones before, so it might be a tad older than you think.

dont they fit together to make one ring?....i remember buying one in turkey many moons ago..but that only had three parts....byron

Originally it would have fitted together, but some of the links were squashed when i found it so there is very little chance of that now, as for a hallmark i have not got a magnifying glass to look at the moment but will be checking this out soon.
