I WENT OUT TODAY WITH THE STIG  AND MILLSEY TO TEST OUT MY NEW GARRETT ACE 250  WE ALL THINK  I MAY OF FOUND MY FIRST HAMMERD......EVER   Huh Huh Huh     ITS A LITTLE WORN BUT I CAN STILL READ WHAT LOOKS LIKE REX. 1606.MAG  BUT AS I SAID IT IS WORN........ I WOULD BE GRATEFULL FOR ANY HELP..... IT IS ABOUT THE SIZE OF A MODERN  ONE PENCE ................THANKS   Grin Grin

It's not a hammered Digga, but it is an early milled silver, so well done.

I think the date is 1696 rather than 1606, and it is a sixpence of William III.

Keep at it DIGGA, there could be hammered in that field. The last hammered coins of England were issued under Charles II in 1662, so only 30-odd years before your coin.
