 Heads up for Digging for Britain the BBC 4 series about the best archaeological discoveries of 2014 is still on BBC i- player. ENJOY !!
ITS FACINATING  WOW !! -Perfectly preserved bronze age log boats sitting on the lake beds  in the lakes of Ireland not to mention the other stories of gold torques and bog bodies

The first program will ends in a couple of days but the rest are on for a few weeks so be quick !! its really interesting.

I am currently watching the Irish episode to quote a gobsmacked  Archaeologist

 "It took us two years to find a battlefield and the amount of finds that the metal detectorists have found in one morning " lol

Irish episode was good - although I wished they'd shown us the silver coin for  a bit longer so i coudl id it....!

Made me want to go and visit
