Anyone near wrexham

Are there any members near wrexham,want to start metal detecting ,i have a laser rapier and was hoping there was some around the area who would like to help a beginner out ....looking for permission on land and such.any help would be great ,i dont drive so that is one of my biggest downfalls ..im gutted really want to get out detecting
