Cardiff Scan Club has been going since 1978 at least. I joined it a few meetings after they started. Can't remember what year that was though. Ancient Pat may be able to confirm the year.

Yeovil MDC have also been around for many years. Possibly late 1970's.

The Manx Detector Club was formed in 1980/81 and I was the first chairman. But it folded a few years later...Seven years ago I helped to reform a new club (Manx Detectorist Society) and I was appointed first chairman...I have now no longer on the committee through illness,but I still attend meeting and outings
