I honestly can't remember the last time I posted a find in fact I can't truly remember the last time I went detecting outside of a rally Huh but after me saying my farmers religiously harvest in the first week of August they went and gave me a body swerve by getting a few fields of wheat in on Sunday Sad so this morning a spent a few hours on a field that has given up quite a few Roman brooches especially about 3 years ago.
Heat, long stubble and hard ground didn't help things along but once again a fibula turned up this makes a nice round total of 30 from this field and while many have been around the time of the invasion this is certainly the first that could be from before 43AD, it's a La Tene type III 50BC-50AD. Geoff I think the last time you was posting finds was when every hammered or jetton you found was pierced, lets hope this year is different Grin

Well found Wink
