Author Topic: Detecting in the South West of England ! Crown Estate  (Read 2207 times)

Ive booked a short Detecting Holiday based in Minehead with my Detecting buddy Kane.
Ive just been on the Crown Estate website and noticed Minehead beach isnt Crown property so i assume its Council owned.
I see there,s Crown land to the East, Blue anchor Bay towards Watchet ?
I know a large parts of Wales isnt Crown owned but there isnt normally a problem detecting.

Any help, tips and advice to make this a Memorable Beach Detecting holiday will be be much appreciated.

No problem at Minehead, just need to time your searching time, early morning/early evening.

Thanks for the info Doug,
Ive never personally had any problem detecting on any beach but its always best to find out.

I,ll check and print off the tide tables before we leave.
Happy days !

Plenty on minehead Phill, but like they say pick early morning as you will probably be flattened by the donkeys on the beach.
