Folks,

I did about 3 hours of detecting the sidelines of the soccer field....a bunch of modern coins but did manage 2 silver rings for my efforts.

Well done Bill, I wish I could detect our soccer fields, but I think I'd be lynched

The site in question is actually a semi private girls school and it's scheduled for development so we have the ok from the builders to detect the site....prior to construction.

Better to save a few items before the bulldozers plow everything up.

Nice finds Bill. They look a bit masculine, must have been the boy friend spectators.

Now there's a though Dylan,  sneak into Cardiff Arms and detect under the stands. Shocked  No one will know you're there and I bet the finds would be a-plenty.

Val,

The one with the small saphire stone just fits on the beginning of my pinky finger....the other one is monogramed Tina and is also quite small so odds are they are girls rings...mind you the girls are tough over here.....trust me I married one....lol....

Nice find Bill, you make some great finds from the side lines of football pitches, one of the best I seen was a Tag heuer watch found by Stever I not sure if he shown it on the forum as it was just before DW times I think.

Good luck on your next trip mate Wink

Dale,

Went back to the same site and found another ring under a tree off further from the sports field turns out it's just costume jewelry....lol.

Great finds.

Still waiting for anything better than copper off the sides of the football pitches I've been looking at - tonight managed a back full of bottle tops and ring pulls and £3.43 - it all adds up, but I wants something shiny!!!

probono,

If you can put up with the junk try hunting around the bleachers/stands where the fans set.....should be a few keepers among the junk.
