Howdy folks !!!
I thought that I would drop a line or two to let you know I am round. My name is Charles Cater and I am 83 years of age and originate from a place called Boston in Lincolnshire, Oh Arrrrrrgh!

I broke away from the clutches of my home town to find a fortune in Liverpool, I never did find it but survived all the same.

I could write a book about my life but who wants to see it anyway so I am enjoying being on here.

Hobbies.
Radio Ham at 70 (MW1DAU), interested in art as an oil painter, Started the Wrexham Heritage Society up in 2005 with a limited membership of 30 - small is good - or so they say.

Play the piano and have done since 1931, Married to my wife - the only one - for 62 years now and she has now accepted me into the fold.

Cannot detect any more now and boy, do I miss it. Gave all my coins and artefacts to the chairman of the Society for safe keeping. The kids would not know what they were anyway - no interest at all.

Job -
Had many but eventually settled for the meat industry, sat for the Royal Society of Health certificate at Liverpool University in 1961 and passed - thank goodness.

I then became an Inspector of meat for human consumption - specialising in that field after going through all the trade from slaughterman, shop, meat factory and eventually at Stanley Market - Liverpool - as a salesman in 1955 - for 13 years after which I became a meat inspector with the Wrexham Borough Council in 1963.

Sounds like I am bragging but I thought i would tell you anyway.
HH everyone.

Charles
Good idea to loan your coins and Artefacts to the chairman of the society.
They will probably be displayed by the society eventualy.
I for one would love to see your display.
Well done.

I actuall meant I had given them to him, Ken, not lend. I thought at one time they would be in good hands. Angry
