Dropped in on Talacre sands yesterday, just to check out the lay of the beach. The top of the beach, close to the dunes, looks pretty well sanded in with all the material that dropped down after the major storm surge that hit the are and dragged away the base of the dunes. There must be several feet of sand sitting on top of the areas where we would normally eek out any number of modern and older coins.  Cry

The BBC weather man says that the weather for the area is going to be dry all day on Wednesday; I think I will try out on the wet sand , using the CS4PI and a long handled spade.  Undecided

Ta m8; not had much success at Talacre since those big storm surges. There has also been a lot more people detecting Talacre recently.  Angry
