Out with TheLovedoc last weekend, tried a new field which turned out to be no good lol.

So after about an hour of finding nothing, i decided to cross a little brook and detect a field which i have done many times.

Put my bag down walked about 10' and got a lovely little signal, and about 5" down, out popped a nice little hammie.

My second Scottish Hammered ( Alexander III  Scottish Penny )

Made our day  Wink

We find Alexander 111 coins in hoards of Edward 1/11 and they only make up about 2/3percent of the hoards...They are rare in comparison to the English hammered..Yours is a particularly well struck coin and well done .... :)Rob
